Severe headache! Enough to seek medical treatment?
I have had a severe heachache since Halloween. I attributed it to stress and then to sinus pressure. I have taken Excedrin Migraine, Excedrin Back & Body, oral Percocet, Aleve and I have recieved a shot of Toradol. I am in excruciating pain and I am at a loss as to what to do. I have had the headache, dizziness, severe nausea and now muscle spasms in the upper back underneath the shoulder blade. I am not sleeping well, I am irritable and also my upper calves and Achilles Tendon is very tender and throbbing. Should I go to ER or do I wait this out? Any advice would be appreciated!

talk to a docotor.
yes go to the ER you could be having an aneurysm or something very serious SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION ASAP
Go to a doctor first.
Second really many may give me thumbs downs and stuff but marijuana. It helps to ease the headaches in SMALL doses.
You dont have to smoke till you get “high” just a small dose.
If you dont want that you can go to the doctors and he will prescribe you some kind of poison.Like he did for me.I used some thing based on morphine or codeine and it was worst thing ever.
DONT DO ANYTHING , UNTIL YOU ASKED YOUR DOC
Im surprised you haven’t gone by now! I think it would be best to go now to the ER.
I think you should seek treatment, whether at an ER, local doctor or clinic. You may just need some pain relief but if this has been chronic and constant you should probably see a specialist sooner rather than later. There is also the possibility of more serious causes of chronic headache that can be outruled with simple tests. Good luck.
Try Excedrin Tension Headache…works wonders on your shoulders and the tension in or around and will get rid of the headache IF it is from tension.
I would recommend to go to a doctor, maybe ER because the pain has bothered you for quite some time.
This could be a number of things and the best thing is to find out what it is and get the right medications/ treatment. Severe headaches can appear when you’re having problems with sinus infections, diabetes (due to high levels of sugar in blood, this will also cause muscle aches), any number of other things and also; stress.
Stress can effect all of the body and can occur during a stress-full time in your life or maybe a while after you’ve been exposed to stress.
Until you get to a doctor, try to drink a lot of fluid and stay warm.
Good luck!
My Mom suffers from Migraines and Headaches.
It’s most likely a migraine and you need to try seeking a specialists in this area there are good ones in Dallas Texas
I am now suffering from genetic headaches
Emergency rooms are for emergencies, and while a migraine headache makes you miserable, it really isn’t an emergent situation, so don’t be surprised if any insurance you may have will not cover an ER visit for migraine. What I would do is call your doctor’s office, tell them you have a migraine and want relief… they should be able to work you in.
